Products / Rebar strain meter
The MAS-GJ series vibrating wire rebar strain meter, also called a rebar stress meter (shown in Figure 1-1 below), is an instrument installed on the load-bearing rebar of concrete to monitor rebar stress. It is embedded in concrete engineering structures such as building foundations, diaphragm walls, tunnel linings, bridges, slopes, wharves, docks and gates, to measure the rebar stress within the internal structure of the concrete.

The vibrating wire rebar strain meter mainly consists of a load-bearing round steel bar, a string clamp, an induction coil and a high-strength steel wire. The excitation circuit drives the sensor coil. When the frequency of the excitation signal approaches the natural frequency of the steel string, the steel string quickly reaches resonance. After the excitation signal is removed, the steel string continues to vibrate at its natural frequency for some time. The monitoring circuit of the acquisition instrument filters, amplifies and shapes the induced signal produced by the vibration and then acquires it. By measuring the pulse period of the induced signal, the vibration frequency of the string can be determined. The internal structure is shown in Figure 2-1.
