Products / CA-P12H Cable Force Sensor
Long-span cable-stayed and suspension bridges generally have a health monitoring system installed to monitor changes in the structural condition, obtaining data from various types of sensors and analysing potential structural damage. Cable force is one of the key measurement items, being an important parameter that reflects the state of change in the overall internal force of the structure. During bridge operation, factors such as tower-top deviation, main girder deflection and foundation settlement change the internal force state of the structure, which in turn causes redistribution of cable force. Therefore, at the operational stage of a bridge, particular attention must be paid to the assessment of cable force so as to understand the safety performance of the structure.
